I can't keep having these 4 day weekends because I absolutely do not want to go back to work but the alternative is driving myself crazy by staying at home all day. I think the root of the problem is that I do not handle changes in my routine very well. I work retail with an unpredictable schedule and also I'm convinced the guy in charge of writing the schedule is a sadomasochist so getting a second job to fill the gap would be a logistical nightmare for me. Yes, I'm (still) looking for a new job but obviously I'm not having any luck but I'm not going to get into that right now. Next week they gave me more hours so I guess I'm off the hook for solving this particular issue of mine for now.
Outside of work I'm continuing my journey to unfuck my relationship with my art, which I think a happy medium would be posting whatever art I want to here and only cross-posting polished work to social media. Aside from that I'm trying to draw more in general and for longer sessions. I'm achieving this by having my tablet nearby all the time and using it over my phone for browsing the web. The idea is that if I'm using it more I'll be more likely to open up clip studio when I'm bored instead of switching to a different site to scroll on. The easier it is for me to access my tools the more likely I am to use them. Plus it really is that damn phone so I'm trying to be more mindful about using it. I don't view myself as a digital minimalist but I do believe in their beliefs since I do get results when I practice them.
