Is the working title of the new headworld that B and I are working on together. The Demons like beings in this world are called Muses and are based off of various theatrical and literature archetypes. Our main characters are a Harlequin and Pierrot Muse, both are of the same general class. They are Mon Coeur (left) and Le Diable (right). The two of them are engaging in what could be considered toxic yuri with each other, which is the basis of the main plot we are currently follow in this headworld.
These two useless lesbians call each other by their own names so Mon Coeur is ‘Le Diable’ and Le Diable is ‘Mon Coeur’.
Le Diable is the more amicable one. They are a surprisingly high ranking muse but is usually off doing their own thing so they aren’t particularly well known by humans (so they aren’t summoned by them) nor do other muses pay them much attention in their fucked up political bloodsports. They’re known as “that one sad looking demon that shows up abritarily”.
Mon Coeur on the other hand is the one putting the blood in said political bloodsports that the other muses love to indulge in. He’s not originally a muse but rather got forced into being one so he’s making it everyone else’s problem. As a result he’s one of the highest ranking muse and gets summoned by human royalty and nobles as part of their own political games.
Him and Le Diable originally met at one a party held by humans in order to network with various high ranking muses and Mon Coeur literally saw them across the room and was entranced by their vibe much to Le Diable’s confusion but it was the start of their long standing relationship.
I also started drawing this portrait of Le Diable a while back and just recently finished it.
“When you come to me, you come to me broke(en)” is being said by to them by Mon Coeur, who is very protective and doesn’t play about them. It’s a lyric from the song Lorelei by Cocteau Twins. We don’t really make playlists for our OCs (shocking considering how much music means to us really) but if these two had one for their relationship that song would be the first one on the track list.
We are still fleshing out the world and everything here is subject to change as we develop it more but I missed writing about our headworlds outside of our notes and writing up infodumps like this one.
